Safety is the priority in everything that SAERCO does as a provider of services.
1. SAERCO has the firm intention of establishing an open and honest reporting policy in which all personnel, regardless of their status or experience, are treated in a fair, coherent, objective and timely manner.
2. SAERCO's activity is fundamentally focused on the provision of airport and air navigation services, aeronautical training and consulting in the field of aeronautics and aviation.
3. To achieve this objective, it is essential to comply with the safety requirements in all aspects of SAERCO's activity. To do this, safety events must be managed systematically and actively balancing potentially conflicting safety and production requirements, all within the framework of a fair culture that encourages the open and honest reporting of safety events.
4. Making mistakes is part of the human condition, with human factors playing an important role in the aviation sector and in safety. SAERCO has implemented a Safety Management System that takes into account best practices, complying with the highest regulatory standards. SAERCO encourages all its staff to actively contribute to improving safety, as well as to report possible mistakes made honestly by always trying to do their best.
5. All personnel involved in SAERCO activities, regardless of their status or experience, will be treated in a fair, consistent, objective, and timely manner. Furthermore, all personnel involved in SAERCO activities have the responsibility to actively participate in the Safety Management System, reporting on the events and hazards detected in order to learn and improve.
6. By this just culture, SAERCO will follow a defined and consistent methodology for managing errors. Those responsible for applying this methodology will be people independent of the organization's chain of command. All incidents determined to be necessary to investigate will be investigated by personnel trained and authorized by SAERCO and, when incidents are reported promptly and openly, the presumption of innocence will be the norm and the expectation of disciplinary action will be the exception. If any disciplinary or administrative action is required, it will not be done without a proper investigation and without a full review of the findings of that investigation.
7. However, the following behaviors are considered unacceptable and will be punishable:
8. All SAERCO staff, wherever they work and whatever their role, should be aware that they have a role to play, as well as the responsibility to actively participate in achieving the highest safety standards.
9. Just Culture, and the safety report system, will allow SAERCO to efficiently comply with operational requirements while guaranteeing the highest possible safety standards. The system will help reduce mistakes while acknowledging that people can make them, and a just culture will make it possible to meet this goal.
10. SAERCO will work proactively to promote a safety culture, as well as a work environment in accordance with its principles. To be consistent with this, it will identify and correct the following behaviors and trends within the organization as soon as they manifest:
11. SAERCO, as an organization, will have the concept of resilience as an objective to be achieved in all its aspects, seeking to resist uncertainty, crises, changes and conflict situations, as well as learning from bad experiences, taking advantage of them as a path to progress as an organization and not just as a survival mechanism. SAERCO, as an organization, will seek to build an emotionally positive climate, where the recognition of achievements and skills is fostered and where there is tolerance for error and uncertainty, facilitating the search for innovative solutions in adverse situations.
